CATCH THE TAIL - WEZELEN

CATCH THE TAIL

Stuffed animals are fun to cuddle and play with. Use a squeaky one with a slender body and a long tail for this hunting game. For instance a weasel or skunk. Turn it sideways with swift movements and twirl it rapidly round the floor. Use both hands rapidly.

Or ty a rope on the head of the stuffed animal and run around. No hunting dog can resist this exciting game.

Tip: wear gloves, so the paws won’t scratch your skin. 

WEZELEN

Pluche beesten zijn leuk om mee te knuffelen en te spelen. Gebruik voor het staart najagen een smal piepbeestje met lange staart zoals een stinkdier. Beweeg het snel over de vloer heen en weer. Gebruik beide handen voor snelle oversprongbewegingen. Je kunt ook een stukje touw aan de kop binden en ermee rond rennen. Geen enkele hond met jachtaspiraties zal het kunnen weerstaan.

Tip: trek handschoenen aan, zodat de nagels je huid niet beschadigen.

HIDE AND SEEK - VERSTOPPERTJE

HIDE AND SEEK

Select an area in which to play the game. In the house or outside, be creative. Close your eyes (no peeking!) and count to 10. The dog or its owner hides while counting. Call out, ‘Ready or not here I come’, when you are finished counting.

This game is not suitable for nervous and very attached to his owner dogs.

VERSTOPPERTJE

PICK UP STICKS - MIKADO

 

Necessities: branches, broomsticks, boards (check for nails), pillows and some bricks. Lie everything criss-crossed on top of each other all and over the floor. Let the dog go over it for an excellent balance exercise. You can also use garden trellis.

Use the bricks to heighten the bars and the pillows to create a seesaw.

You don’t have any suitable materials? Sit straight up and let the dog use your legs as a hurdle.

Benodigdheden: bezemstelen, takken, stokken, planken of latten (zonder spijkers), kussens. Eventueel bakstenen.

Leg alles kriskras op de grond en laat de hond erover heen lopen of er tussendoor lopen. Deze oefening spreekt het coördinatievermogen van je hond aan. Ook een trellisscherm is prima, als raster om tussendoor te stappen, te gebruiken.

 

Leg de lat hoger door er aan weerszijden een kussentje (of baksteen) onder te leggen, zodat de hond kan hordelopen of zet enkele planken schuin tegen de muur en laat de hond er onder door lopen.

 

Creëer een wip door een dik kussen op de grond te leggen met een brede plank er bovenop. Houd met een hand de plank tegen, laat de hond erop stappen en begeleid hem voorzichtig van de ene naar de andere kant.

 

Heb je geen latten of stokken ga dan, met je benen dicht langs elkaar gestrekt, op de grond zitten en laat de hond eroverheen springen.

MOST WANTED - WIE VAN DE DRIE

MOST WANTED

Do you like to know what’s your dog’s favorite treat? Do a comparative research and run some tests. Spread three different kind of cookies or chewies over the floor. The dog has to choose only one. Repeat this test several times for a thorough result.

You can use a similar test for his favorite toys or kibble.

 

 

WIE VAN DE DRIE

Wil je eindelijk wel eens weten wat het favoriete hapje van je hond is? Test het dan door middel van een vergelijkend warenonderzoek. Leg steeds drie stuks van vergelijkbare waarde neer om uit te kiezen. Bijvoorbeeld drie verschillende kauwstaafjes, drie soorten koekjes et cetera. Herhaal het ritueel verscheidene malen om te kijken of hij een volgende keer weer hetzelfde kiest.

 

 

De test kun je uitbreiden met: wat is zijn favoriete speeltje of welk voer geniet zijn voorkeur.

PLAY CATCH - OVERGOOIEN

PLAY CATCH

Fun for a minimum of three. Throw a ball or frisbee towards another person. Let the dog run back and forth between the two of you. Are you one too many for him, let him win occasionally.

OVERGOOIEN

Overgooien als je met zijn tweeën of meer bent. Het kan met je muts, een deksel die je vindt een frisbee of een bal. Laat de hond tussen jullie heen en weer laten rennen. Zijn jullie hem te slim af, laat hem dan af en toe winnen.
