SQUARE - RUITJES

Necessities: a door mat with an open pattern of squares, placemat (to lay under the mat), slices of meat sausage.

This is a feeding game for fast eaters. Instead of gobble up the whole sausage at one time, the dog now has to try harder. Ask the dog to sit and wait while you put the slices of sausage in the squares. He learns to be patient and enjoys his food more. Say: ‘ take.’ The dog has to take each part separately. *To make it more difficult: put another doormat crosswise the first which creates smaller openings. Chewing on the doormat is not allowed!

Benodigdheden: een rubberen deurmat met openingen (2 op elkaar om een mozaïek te maken), een placemat of bakpapier als onderlegger, schijfjes hondenworst.

Finished - op!

Een voerspelletje voor ongeduldige schrokkers. Laat de hond toekijken hoe je schijfjes hondenworst in het raster legt. Zo leert hij meteen geduldig op de plaats wachten. Zeg: ´tast toe.’  In plaats van met één tonghaal de worst uit zijn voerbakje te grissen, moet de hond nu moeite doen voor elk plakje.
* Om het nog moeilijker te maken leg je een tweede mat erop en wel zo dat het patroon iets verspringt - de openingen zijn nu nog kleiner. Kauwen op de deurmat is niet toegestaan!

SLIDE & WHISK - SCHUIVEN & WIPPEN

Place several bowls (with and without lip) upside down on the floor. Put a small treat under each bowl - upgrade later by putting just under one bowl a treat. The dog has to use his own inventivity by edging, moving, whisking and pushing along the bowls.

Plaats enkele schaaltjes (met en zonder rand) ondersteboven op de grond. Leg onder elk schaaltje een lekkertje - upgrade het spelletje later door maar onder een schaaltje een koekje te leggen. De hond zal zijn eigen inventiviteit moeten gebruiken: schuiven, opwippen, proberen vast te pakken et cetera.

It's getting cold - Het wordt kouder

Put to bed. For dogs who love warmth and adore to be spoilt rotten. Turn in and let your boss tuck you in. A draped comfy blanket appeals to your sense of security. But really, you know you can do it yourself. 

Voor honden die van knus en warm houden. Honden vinden het heerlijk om vertroeteld te worden. Graag laat jij je onder de wol stoppen. Heerlijk zo'n dekentje dat over je gedrapeerd ligt en dat appelleert aan een gevoel van geborgenheid. 

You know you can do it yourself. Grab one of corners and pull the blanket all over your body.

Eigenlijk weet je best dat je dat ook zelf kunt. Pak de punt van de deken vast en trek 'm over je heen.

Does your dog need some encouragement? Grab the corner of the blanket and wiggle it in front of his nose. Do you get his attention? Say: 'Grab' and 'hold tight'. Lead his mouth ahead. Say: 'Pull!' 

Heeft je hond wat aanmoediging nodig? Pak een hoekje van de deken vast, zwaai ermee voor zijn neus. Heb je zijn aandacht, zeg dan: 'vast'. Leid met je hand het vastgepakte dekentje voorwaarts. Zeg: 'trekken'. 

Tucked in. Now go to sleep. Good night.

Ingestopt. Oogjes dicht. Welterusten.
