LOW CRAWL - TIJGEREN

Is your dog suited for the army? Find a steady object where your dog can go safely underneath. Face your dog and trigger him with a squeeky toy or a treat. Link a command to the crawl activity. If your dog gets the hang of it you only have to use the word to let him do the low crawl. Never force your dog to do anything he don't want to do.

Wil je jouw hond laten tijgeren? Zoek een solide object waar hij om er onder door te kunnen 'op zijn knieën moet'. Ga zelf aan de andere kant staan en motiveer de hond met bijvoorbeeld een koekje of piepspeeltje. Verbind er een commando aan, zodat je na het aanleren slechts dat ene woord hoeft te gebruiken, om de hond ergens onder door te laten kruipen. Dwing je hond niet om iets te doen waar hij zich onprettig bij voelt.

BALL PIT FOR DOGS - BALLENBAK VOOR HONDEN

'Has your dog got balls'? 
Big fun with lots of balls in an inflatable kiddie pool. He can pick up the balls and put them in the pool and vice versa. Hide toys or throw some kibble between the plastic balls. The search party can begin. In summer you can place the kiddie pool in the yard with a layer of water and floating balls.
Alternative: use plush toys instead of balls

Heeft jouw hond ballen? 
De overbekende ballenbak is minstens zo leuk voor je hond. Doe heel veel plastic ballen in een opblaasbaar (kinder)zwembadje. Of beter: laat je hond ze oppakken en erin doen en eruit halen. (In plaats van ballen kun je ook heel veel pluche speeltjes in een grote bak doen.) Of verstop zijn favoriete speeltjes of lekkertjes tussen de ballen. Het zoeken kan beginnen. In de zomer zorgt een laagje water met drijvende ballen in een badje voor verfrissend vertier.

Fun game for your dog.

Autumn leaves. Organize a search party for your dog. Hide some of your dogs toys, or some kibble in a leaf pile. Finders keepers.

Verstop enkele hondenspeeltjes (zoals een kong waar je een koekje in doet) of strooi brokjes in een bijeen geharkte bladerhoop. Het vindersloon is voor de hond.

DOG COLLECTS WASTE - HOND RUIMT AFVAL OP

Fall and spring are excellent times to collect waste because of bare bushes. A rewarding task for your dog: apport empty plastic bottles or wood (for the fire place) and trade it for a treat. Caution: injuries from polluted bottles or sharp materials. 

                                            

Herfst en voorjaar, als het struikgewas nog kaal is, is een uitstekend tijdstip om een inzamelactie te houden. Een dankbaar klusje voor je hond: lege petflessen en wegwerpartikelen voorbrengen. (Of als je thuis over een open haard beschikt, je hond sprokkelhout mee naar huis laten sjouwen.) Let op dat er geen scherp materiaal aan het zwerfafval zit, waar hij zich aan kan verwonden.
